According to an Associated Press story today, "A 39-year-old
Southern California man has been arrested for misdemeanor child
annoyance after allegedly paying a teenager $31 to spit in his face." This just might be one small piece of the reasons why California is going over the cliff - how much taxpayer money did it cost for some state bureaucrat to start the ball rolling on creating a crime called "misdemeanor child annoyance" and putting it into the law books?
This afternoon, Hugh Hewitt was talking to a documentary filmmaker who made the movie "Not Evil, Just Wrong", and she said something I thought was interesting. She said polls indicated that around half or more of the people lean conservative, and the comment is frequently made that Hollywood just makes movies that people want to see because they want to make money. If that were true, she said, Hollywood would make more conservative movies - but almost everything they put on the screens is left-leaning, bash-America product, so they must actually want to influence people's views more than they want to make money.
Sarah Palin's book arrived this week, and she's been on Oprah, and 20/20, and Limbaugh's radio show, and Hannity's radio show, and a few others. My question is, when is she going to be on Meet the Press, or This Week, or 60 Minutes?
Speaking of 60 Minutes, they had a feature last weekend on some amazing discoveries in T-Rex bones by a couple of pretty well-known paleontologists. Seems they ran these "fossilized" bones through some tests and found tissue and blood vessels, then got in trouble when they published their work, which included the question, "How can a 68-million-year-old bone have tissue and blood vessels?" Well, DUH! How about flipping the question -- "How can a T-Rex bone with tissue and blood vessels be 68 million years old?" Don't think it can, guys! Maybe you'll follow the evidence this time? (think younger)
Time to go...it's getting late...
